Sturdy and Sturdy Dot Line Magic Rig V1 for HDSLR Cameras

Compared with most other DSLR shoulder rig, this one ought to be very economical, I feel. It only fees $99. Then I attempt to discover some valuable critiques about it, the majority of that are four or five stars. So I think it right to say anything about this rig.

Delivering two points of get in touch with for one-armed operation, the Magic Rig V1 is excellent for shooting video with modest cameras. The Dot Line Magic Rig V1 for HDSLR Cameras is actually a lightweight help rig to get a DSLR camera or compact camcorder. Having a height-adjustable baseplate along with a quick-release plate using a 1/4"-20 stud, the Magic Rig V1 will accommodate most cameras.

The operator's one particular hand holds the grip as the gunstock steadies the rig against the chest or bicep; meanwhile the other hand is no cost for adjusting zoom & focus, changing camera settings, and triggering recording. The result is steady video and comfortable operation over long periods of time.

In addition, the rig's rods are industry-standard 15mm size, which means the V1 is often a modular rig that you can reconfigure endlessly, adding or substituting components to your heart's desire. The all-metal Magic Rig is sturdy yet lightweight at 1.6 lb. Baseplate features heavy-duty quick-release plate for camera. And it can support any DSLR camera. Gunstock rod measures 12.5" long and features adjustment range of 10".

The camera baseplate is offset from the hand grip and gunstock, so you can view your camera's LCD screen with a natural, forward-looking sight line. With thumbscrews throughout, you can adjust the positioning of just about any component so you can suit your specific camera, body type, and operating style.

There are some testimonials left by the customers:

This product works great for me. I use it to stabilize my shots, and it does a great job. It's all metal and completely durable and sturdy. It's easy to add on attachments and other accessories. I would definitely recommend this product to others.

The shoulder bit with the foam seems to be a complaint from a few people who have used this but seems to be near identical to the ones I was renting that cost six of seven hundred more dollars. But that's just me. Over all... a week of good steady use has made me very happy and I have every intention of using this for quite some time. I have a 28 day shoot on the road coming up and I reckon I'll have a much better idea of how this thing fairs after that. But, so far... so good.

I use this with a canon 60D and from what I've had to use it for so far it seems to match the more expensive versions pretty much identically. It's very light which was a big concern of mine. It tightens and loosens well, though I can imagine it will, over time, begin to loosen its grip. no real evidence but a hunch based on the give of the little screws.
